CEE Equity Partners („CEE Equity”), the Investment Advisor to the China Central and Eastern Europe Investment Co-operation Fund II („Fund II”), is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement to invest in, modernise and develop 15 grain silos and logistic hubs from the Brise Group („Brise”).

Brise is one of the most important independent grain traders in Romania, which intends to focus solely on its core grain origination and trading business once it divests its grain logistics hubs to Fund II.

The Fund will be investing close to 60 million EUR in a purposely structured Romanian company for the: modernisation, integration, development and construction of open access grain hubs and terminals.

The transaction will be subject to Competition Authority clearance, for which the Parties intend to apply promptly in order for the platform to be fully operational by the beginning of the 2019 harvest season.

BT Capital Partners acted as financial advisor to Brise Group. Dentons and Kinstellar acted as legal advisors to the transaction, PWC as tax, financial and market advisors to the Fund, BASE as technical advisors.
