Private equity and venture capital investment into companies in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) reached a record €3.5 billion in 2017, new data from Invest Europe reveals.

The latest study of PE/VC activity published by Invest Europe  shows strong results across investment, fundraising and divestment in Poland 2017.

Polskie Stowarzyszenie Inwestorów Kapitałowych (PSIK) ogłosiło laureatów pierwszej edycji konkursu Nagrody PSIK. Zostali oni wyłonieni w drodze głosowania zrzeszonego w nim środowiska. Statuetki przyznane w 11 kategoriach w czasie uroczystej gali w Warszawie mają na celu uhonorowanie działalności biznesowej i społecznej inwestorów private equity/venture capital oraz promocję osiągnięć firm doradczych i banków.

PSIK recorded six transactions announced by its members in February.

We are happy to present PSIK’s own exclusive private equity and venture capital awards, named Nagrody PSIK. The winners will be chosen by PSIK community through popular vote from a shortlist decided by judging panels.

The record level of PE/VC investment in Poland in 2017 is estimated by PSIK. The equity value invested in 2017 in Poland exceeded EUR 2.2bn.

Over EUR 1bn had been raised for CEE by PSIK members in 2017 including three closings announced by: Enterprise Investors, Abris Capital Partners and Value4Capital.

PSIK recorded busy end of 2017, with seven transactions signed by the members in December.

Last month showed a solid activity of PSIK members including the latest exit from telco operator, acquisition of three consumer-oriented companies, and support of three Polish start-ups.

Noticeable activity on the Polish startup scene with five PSIK members’ portfolio companies receiving nearly EUR 10M of VC financing.
