Support to Ukraine
The war in Ukraine is one of the greatest tragedies since World War II.
PSIK, the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, together with the European PE/VC community, Invest Europe and all European PE/VC associations, condemn the unprecedented, criminal aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and stand in full support of the Ukrainian people. The whole PE/VC community is actively supporting Ukraine and organize concrete actions to help Ukraine and its people. Invest Europe made a sizable donation to support the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine, and called the members to boost this donation further.
PSIK members, business partners and portfolio companies, from the first day of the war, have been involved in numerous initiatives to help Ukraine and support Ukrainian refugees. We are proud of the scale of this commitment. To boost these actions further, we publish the special section on PSIK website and encourage to join them.
Our friends from the Ukrainian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (UVCA) organize help in the besieged country and abroad. We wholeheartedly support their actions. We stand behind the people of Ukraine. We stand together as an industry.
Shelter Ukraine - special fundraising for internal refugees in Ukraine
We would like to draw your special attention to the fundraiser by Fundacja Valores, the first Polish venture philanthropy fund, whose PSIK is a proud founding partner. Fundacja Valores has been mobilizing its donors and friends to support Shelter Ukraine. The fundraiser is aimed at helping Ukrainian refugees who stay in their country. Immediate support is needed to establish shelters for Ukrainian civilians, mothers and children, who are either trapped in the bombed cities, or seek refuge in other parts of Ukraine as they are forced to flee from their homes. Through Shelter Ukraine, in partnership with SILab Ukraine, based in Kyiv, we are collecting funds to purchase matteresses, food, power generators and other indispensable supplies for civilians, who fled their homes to escape bombs and shelling. Please generously support this life saving effort.
