Company description

Type of business

Each bank is formed by people and for people. Thanks to their professionalism, ideas, individual approach to each client, it is possible to build partnerships and to offer the best products and services. Such people are working at Citi. Such people can work for you. We are a bank which combines the experience and the best traditions of the Polish banking with a modern model of finance. Citi Handlowy was set up as a result of the merger of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. (“BHW”) - the oldest operating commercial bank in Poland - and Citibank (Poland) S.A. in March 2001. This is how, in March 2001, one of the strongest local banking institution was created, which is an integral part of Citi - a leading financial services company, having approximately 200 million customer accounts and operating in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. Citi provides consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.

Citi currently operates via two primary business segments: Citicorp, representing Citi's core growth franchises and Citi Holdings, which contains businesses and assets that are not core to Citi's future. Citicorp includes the Global Consumer Banking Business and the Institutional Clients Group and is focused on providing best-in-class products and services to customers and leveraging Citi's unparalleled global network, including many of the world's emerging economies.

Departament Maklerski Banku Handlowego (DMBH) provides a wide range of brokerage services available on the market. DMBH is a Brokerage Office within BHW established as a result of the incorporation of Dom Maklerski Banku Handlowego S.A. into BHW on August 1, 2023.

Dom Maklerski Banku Handlowego S.A. was established on April 1, 2001 as a result of the merger of the Capital Operations Center of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. (established in 1992) and Citibrokerage SA. (acting on the Polish market since 1994).

The activities of BHW, including DMBH, are based on strong business integration with the Citi group. Citi Handlowy, as a member of the Citi group, offers his clients the highest quality services.
